Meals.Chat for iPhone
The iPhone app is Meals.Chat with a camera button. Take a photo, get the readout, and keep your history, today's total and goals on one screen. It's listed in the App Store as Wave Eats.
How to start
- Download it from the App Store and sign in with Apple.
- Take a photo of your meal, or type what you had.
- Read the reply. If something's off, say what's different: “no cheese”, “half of it”, “two of those”.
What comes back
One readout per meal: what it was, the calories, then protein, carbs and fat in grams, then where your day stands against your goal if you've set one. Ingredients and caffeine are there when you ask. Nothing is labelled good or bad; it's a number, and the day's running total.
Good to know
- Your history, daily totals and goals, in the app.
- Sign in with Apple. No password to remember.
- Drinks count too, including the caffeine in coffee and tea.
Common questions
Why does the App Store call it Wave Eats?
It's the same product from the same team; the App Store listing uses the name Wave Eats.
Is there an Android app?
Not yet. On Android, use Meals.Chat in WhatsApp or Telegram.
What does it cost?
Your first 15 meals are free. In the app, Pro is $7.99 a month or $59.99 a year through the App Store. Pricing details.
How accurate is it?
It's an estimate from a photo, so portions are approximate. Tell it what's different (“no cheese”, “half of it”) and it re-estimates in a sentence. For packaged food, a photo of the nutrition label gives it exact numbers.
Is my account shared across channels?
No. Each chat is its own account, so your meals, free tier and subscription stay in the chat you started in.
